Q?How is Teen Extreme staffed
A.

Teen Extreme will be joined by a team of dedicated team staff experienced in teen behavior and outdoor adventure. Our team includes a bus driver, a trip planner, an E.M.T. a chef, five counselors and a dedicated director (Rabbi Zalman Notik) that will accompany us throughout our trip.

Q?How will Teen Extreme be traveling?
A.

We will travel in a new and comfortable coach bus. A dedicated and experienced coach bus driver will join us on our journey.

Q?What food will be served on this trip?
A.

A variety of Kosher food will be served throughout our trip. We will have our own certified chef  that will insure we are comfortably served healthy nutritious meals. We will have several BBQ dinners amongst a variety of meal options including salads and  wraps. Teen Extreme will serve several meal options to satisfy even the most discriminating palette.

Q?Are all expenses taken care of on the trip, is there a need to bring spending money?
A.

Sleeping accommodations, meals, in trip transportation and all program activities are covered by the core program fee. There is no need to bring spending money however if you would like to purchase snacks, souvenirs or gifts that is your prerogative. We estimate that $50 for the week is more than sufficient to cover all such expenses.

Q?What prior Jewish knowledge is necessary?
A.

No prior Jewish knowledge is necessary.  Teen Extreme is appropriate for teens from all Jewish backgrounds and level of Knowledge. We will teach Jewish Ethics and Morals that are applicable to all teens.

Q?I have never been horseback riding before, is that an issue? How about similar trips?
A.

No previous riding skills are necessary. We will be given a lesson on the finer points of riding prior to our trip. Each group of teens that will ride will be joined by three qualified guides experienced in all aspects of horseback  riding  and care. All of our extreme trips are similarly set up with a lesson given prior and guides that will accompany us throughout.

Q?Where does the trip start, end?
A.

Our trip will meet up in Glenview, IL on August 6th at 12:00 noon. We will return to our location in Glenview IL at 1591 Forest Drive at 7:30 pm on August 12th.

Q?Are Scholarships Available?
A.

Some Level of scholarship is available. Scholarships are given on a case by case basis. A substantial discount is available for first time campers

Q?Who is Teen Extreme for?
A.

Jewish teens grades 8 – 12 regardless of background or affiliation who want to enjoy the summer of a lifetime. No previous experience in outdoor adventure is necessary.
